Choose the help you need
Prepare your home or workplace before moving day. Tell JB which rooms, fragile items and contents need packing, what you will pack yourself, and when everything must be ready for collection.
Coordinate packing at the pickup address and unpacking at the destination. Share both access routes, your preferred dates and room priorities so JB can assess the team and sequence for each stage.
Get help opening cartons and placing or organising contents after delivery. Identify the rooms you want ready first and confirm the unpacking scope, time and packaging arrangements with JB.

Specialist packing planner
Six short steps. Your selected service, route, estimate, materials and extra help are included in the acknowledgement email.
Transparent planning rates
One packer is $88 per hour including GST. Two packers are $145 plus GST per hour. Every additional packer is $70 plus GST per hour. The estimator uses a five-hour minimum.
Final scope, availability, materials and price are confirmed by JB Removals before booking.

How it works
Start with a room-by-room list for your Sydney move. Mark what needs packing, what you will prepare yourself and anything that must stay available. Share photos of fragile or unusual items, then confirm access, dates and the loading order with JB.
Packers prepare and protect belongings; removalists handle the agreed loading, transport and delivery. Confirm which services you need and when each team can start. Keep packing labour, boxes and packing materials, furniture handling and transport clear in the written quote.
Choose protection for the contents and label cartons by destination room. Identify fragile items and any required orientation. Keep carton labels visible and set aside keys, medicines and daily essentials so they remain accessible when the movers arrive.
If unpacking is included, show the team the room labels and your priorities at the new home or workplace. Start with the rooms you need first. Confirm where contents belong and agree any furniture placement or packaging removal before work begins.
Packing questions
Yes. Choose packing only, packing and unpacking, or unpacking only in the planner. Tell us which rooms and items need attention at each address. If you also need transport, include your Sydney home removal requirements so the packing and moving stages can be assessed together.
The labour estimator uses a five-hour minimum. The estimate is a planning guide: JB confirms the team, timing, materials and final booking terms after reviewing your enquiry. Include fragile items, access restrictions and the amount to be packed so the scope is clear.
Yes. Select materials in the planner and JB will review quantities and pricing with you. List any boxes or protective materials you already have. You can also browse the JB box shop. Confirm material costs and delivery arrangements before booking; the labour estimate alone does not confirm these inclusions.
The right materials depend on the contents. Describe books, kitchenware, clothes, artwork and fragile pieces separately so carton sizes and protective wrapping can be assessed. Send photographs of items that do not fit ordinary boxes. Do not assume a box allowance, reusable-box hire or packaging collection is included unless it appears in your quote.
Tell us which rooms or items you want help with, such as kitchen contents, books or fragile pieces, and which you will pack yourself. A clear split helps JB assess the crew and time required. The minimum booking terms still need to be confirmed for your chosen service.
Sort items you are keeping, donating or leaving behind. Set aside medicines, identity documents, keys, chargers and anything you need on moving day. Label anything that must stay at the property and explain the destination room for each group of items. Our packing preparation guide can help you organise the list.
Make a room-by-room list and identify cupboards, drawers or shelves that are excluded. Keep a clear path through the home and tell the team where labelled cartons can wait for loading. A short walkthrough on arrival helps confirm the agreed priorities before packing starts.
List fragile, high-value, oversized and unusually heavy items separately. Supply photographs and dimensions where useful, and describe stairs, doorways and access at both properties. Pianos, safes and other specialist items need an individual assessment; include them through our heavy and specialist removals service instead of treating them as ordinary packed boxes.
For breakables, describe the material, condition and any loose or removable parts. Share manufacturer instructions where available. Keep valuable documents and personal essentials with you, and agree how specially packed items will be identified at the destination.
Yes. Include the packing date, moving date, access windows and the items that need to stay available until the final stage. Label cartons by team or destination area. Arrange backups, shutdown and reconnection of IT equipment with your IT provider, and add the transport scope to your office relocation enquiry.
Include the proposed collection and delivery dates and tell us which items you may need first. JB can assess packing and EasyBox mobile storage together. Keep essential items separate, identify fragile contents and confirm storage, handling and access arrangements before the move.
Select unpacking in the planner and describe the rooms and priorities at the destination. JB can assess help opening cartons and placing or organising the packed contents. Confirm the agreed tasks, timing and any packaging removal separately so the booking reflects the help you need.
The amount and type of contents matter as well as the number of rooms. A kitchen with many breakables can need more preparation than a room of already boxed items. Your requested packing, unpacking and furniture-protection tasks, the crew, access and time available all affect the estimate. Use the packing planner to record the scope, then confirm labour, materials, minimum booking time and any transport or storage charges in the written quote. Our moving cost guide helps you compare the complete scope.
Yes. Describe which rooms and items you will pack and which need professional packing. Label your cartons with the destination room and keep them separate from items awaiting assessment. Tell JB if a box contains fragile contents or requires a particular orientation. Avoid sealing away items the team needs to inspect. Confirm who provides the materials and whether any customer-packed cartons need to be checked or repacked before transport.
Work backwards from the loading date and the time you can access the new property. Identify what can be packed early and what must stay available for your household or business. Keep a clearly marked essentials box with everyday items you need first. For unpacking, provide room labels or a simple floor plan and prioritise the kitchen, bedrooms or work areas. Discuss the sequence with JB so the requested services fit the access windows and agreed moving plan.
