JB’s powered stair climber can move suitable items weighing up to 600 kg over stairs. Suitability is assessed for the item and site. Heavier or more complex jobs may require
Hercules specialist equipment, including gantries, forklifts, lifting systems, specialised ramps or another method.
No universal fixed-number formula applies. Crew size depends on the complete task, including weight, dimensions, centre of gravity, stairs, gradients, surfaces, turning space and the mechanical assistance selected.
Heavy-item handling is risk-assessed under applicable WHS requirements. JB selects an appropriate load-rated method, equipment and crew after reviewing the item and access conditions.
JB reassesses the loading route, stairs, ramps, gradients, surfaces, timing and equipment. A dedicated rain cover and other purpose-made protection may be used where appropriate. Severe rain, wind or unsafe surfaces may require a delay or alternative method.
