REAL JB PROJECT · SPECIALIST HANDLING
250kg Ice Bath Stair Delivery
Vaucluse · pre-job inspection · specialist stair climber
A long external staircase and the ice bath’s slim profile ruled out a conventional carry. JB removed the shipping crate, rebuilt the protection around the unit and used a vertical-load stair climber for the controlled ascent.

The complete handling method
Inspecting the Vaucluse access
JB completed a site inspection before moving day. The team confirmed the 250 kg weight and assessed the number of steps, stair widths and transitions. They identified safe working positions and planned protection along the complete outdoor route.
Why the shipping crate was removed
The ice bath arrived inside a shipping crate, but the crate was unsuitable for the restricted staircase and the vertical stair-climber setup. JB removed the unit from the crate so the protection and restraint system could be built directly around the ice bath.
Rebuilding the protection
The slim-profile bath was fully re-wrapped and cushioned. JB placed reinforced protective wedges and corner guards around vulnerable contact points. Multiple restraints then secured the load to the stair climber without relying on the original crate.
Vertical mechanical control
JB selected its specialist vertical-load stair climber to keep the tall load mechanically supported in an upright working position. The machine advanced progressively over the steps while the crew controlled alignment, wall clearance and each change in the stair route.
Ice bath stair delivery outcome
Despite the number of steps and the exposed outdoor access, the protected ice bath was moved safely to the upper level. The completed delivery followed the method established during the inspection—from weight and access checks through to re-wrapping, restraint and the controlled ascent.
