REAL JB PROJECT · BEVERLY HILLS, SYDNEY
2-Tonne Marble Statue Relocation Over a Fence in Beverly Hills, Sydney
Two tonnes per statue. More than $250,000 each. A fence between the delivery point and the final position.
JB Removals relocated high-value marble statues from Fendi Casa Sydney to a Beverly Hills property. Four crew members, a full day of preparation and crane-assisted access formed part of the job.
The unusual step: we also had to lift a forklift over the fence so the statues could be moved into their final positions inside the property.

A PROJECT WITH TWO ACCESS CHALLENGES
From Fendi Casa Sydney to a restricted-access Beverly Hills property
This marble statue relocation in Sydney involved substantial pieces with a confirmed weight of two tonnes each and values exceeding a quarter of a million dollars per statue. Their carved forms, marble surfaces and final display positions made the handling requirements very different from an ordinary furniture delivery.
The destination introduced a second challenge: the statues had to pass over a fence to reach the property. Crossing the boundary was only one stage. JB also needed mechanical handling equipment inside to complete the movement and final placement.
Our four-person crew worked on a plan that covered the collection, protection, boundary lift and internal positioning. A full day of preparation formed part of this specialist relocation.
THE DETAIL THAT SHAPED THE MOVE
The forklift had to cross the fence too
A crane lift could bring the statues beyond the boundary, but the final destinations still needed to be reached. To make that internal handling possible, the forklift itself was lifted over the fence and placed inside the property.
This was the defining feature of the job: the equipment needed its own access solution before it could complete the artwork’s journey. The photographs show the forklift suspended during the lift, then working beside the protected marble components and statue at the destination.
Two-tonne marble pieces
The statues combined considerable weight with detailed stonework. Supporting the load and protecting the carved surfaces were central to the handling arrangement.
A boundary that blocked the route
The fence separated the delivery access from the final placement area. Crane handling was used to move protected loads beyond that barrier.
Mechanical support at the destination
The forklift was placed inside the property to help move and position the marble pieces after the boundary lift.
THE HANDLING SEQUENCE
How JB handled the marble statue relocation
A full day of preparation
The project included a day dedicated to preparation. The collection and delivery stages had to work together: protection at Fendi Casa Sydney, crane access at the destination and the forklift’s role in final positioning were all parts of the same relocation.
Protecting and supporting the statues at collection
The supplied photos show the crew applying wrapping and protective blankets around the marble statue. Timber pallets supported the pieces during handling, with padded protection retained around the sculpture during crane movement.
Crane handling across the property boundary
The relocation required the statues to pass over the fence. The photo sequence also shows a marble pedestal supported on a pallet during a boundary lift. Moving the sculpture and its supporting components called for attention to each load’s position and protection.
Lifting the forklift into the property
The forklift was crane-lifted over the fence so it could work within the destination grounds. This equipment transfer enabled the next stage of the job, rather than leaving the heavy statues at the first accessible landing point.
Internal movement and final statue positioning
With the forklift inside, JB continued the relocation to the final positions. The photographs show the crew working beside the statue and marble pedestal, followed by the completed placement. Protective materials remained around relevant sections during the positioning stage.
DOCUMENTED JOB PHOTOGRAPHS
Collection, boundary access and final placement
Ten supplied photos show the Fendi Casa collection, protection, crane handling, forklift transfer and final destination. The separate urn photo documents an associated decorative item; the two-tonne figure applies to the marble statues.
THE COMPLETED PROJECT
High-value marble statues delivered to their final positions
JB completed the Beverly Hills relocation with four crew members and a handling sequence that extended from the showroom collection to the final positioning. Bringing the forklift over the fence was a necessary part of reaching the statues’ intended destinations.
The project demonstrates how a heavy sculpture move can depend on solving access for both the artwork and the equipment needed to place it.

What details help JB assess a marble statue move?
Provide the weight, dimensions, photographs, any separate pedestal or base components, collection and delivery details, and the intended final position. Include fences, stairs and any access restrictions.
Can a statue be moved over a fence?
This Beverly Hills project involved crane-assisted movement over a fence. For another property, JB needs the load and access details before determining a suitable method.
Why was a forklift lifted into this property?
The forklift was needed inside the boundary to complete the statues’ internal movement and final positioning. It could not reach that working area through the available access, so it was lifted over the fence.
Does the statue’s value affect the information needed?
Tell JB the declared value and any handling or condition-report requirements when requesting a quote. Include existing appraisal or insurance documents if relevant to the proposed move.
