THE SPECIALIST RELOCATION
Heavy lift machinery moving through Sydney stair access
Lift machinery combines a substantial body with components that extend beyond a simple rectangular footprint. In this project, the blue machine housing, large yellow grooved wheel and adjoining fittings all formed part of the item being handled.
The route included a confined internal staircase. The photographs show the secured machinery occupying much of the available space, with the JB team working around the load, stair climber, wall and handrail.
This was a specialist equipment relocation where preparation and stair access had to be considered together. The moving arrangement supported the unit while the crew coordinated its progress through the stairwell.
THE HANDLING CHALLENGE
Supporting the machine and managing stairwell clearance
A machine with projecting components
The large wheel and adjoining fittings shaped the space needed around the load. Supporting and positioning the machinery was central to the handling arrangement.
Restricted room beside the stairs
The stairwell wall and handrail limited the working space beside the unit. The crew and stair-climbing equipment shared that confined route.
Keeping the load secured to the equipment
The photos show multiple orange straps around the machinery and timber backing at the setup. These details formed part of preparing the machine for movement.
THE DOCUMENTED APPROACH
Preparation, tracked stair climbing and coordinated handling
Preparing the lift machinery for relocation
The preparation-area photos show the unit on the tracked stair climber before the staircase views. The machine body, grooved wheel and fittings were supported within the specialist moving setup.
Securing the unit with straps and support
Orange straps are visible across and around the machinery, with timber backing beside the stair-climber frame. The arrangement brought the substantial unit and moving equipment together for handling.
Working through the confined stairwell
On the staircase, JB crew attended the load from different positions around the moving unit. The available clearance beside the wall and handrail shaped the working space.
Coordinating the machinery and stair climber
The stair-route photos show the secured unit supported on the specialist equipment. Handling required coordination around the machine and its projecting components as part of the relocation.

THE PROJECT IN FOCUS
Specialist machinery relocation with managed stair access
The photographs record JB’s specialist handling of lift-shaft machinery using a tracked stair climber and a secured load arrangement. They capture both the preparation setup and the confined stair section.
This project illustrates the work behind heavy lifting relocations in Sydney: bringing the item, support equipment and full access route together, with crew coordination around a substantial machine.

What details does JB need for a machinery move?
Provide the equipment make/model if known, confirmed weight, dimensions, collection and destination details, and clear photographs of the machine and route.
Can lift equipment be relocated over stairs?
This project shows lift machinery on a tracked stair climber within a staircase. A different unit needs its own assessment before the handling method and crew can be confirmed.
Why do projecting parts matter?
Wheels, housings and other fittings affect clearance and the space needed during handling. Photographs from several sides help show the complete item.
What should the access photos include?
Show the stairs, landings, turns, handrails, doorways and spaces at collection and delivery. Include the route beyond the staircase as well.
