Garden statue removalists for a tall, detailed sculptural piece
This JB Removals project involved a large garden figure with a tall body, carved decorative details and a shaped base. The statue was handled beside a residential courtyard with paving, glass doors and landscaped edges.
The photographs document several parts of the moving arrangement: blue padded blankets wrapped around the statue, orange securing straps, a powered platform supporting the load and a metal ramp at the removalist truck. Together, these show how protection and mechanical support formed part of the statue relocation.
Large garden statue and decorative base
The full figure included a tall headdress, projecting arms and a shaped base. Those features affected the space needed around the statue and the areas to protect during movement.
Protective wrapping around the sculpture
Padded removal blankets covered much of the statue’s body and base, with wrapping film holding the protective layers together. The carved upper details remained visible in the upright handling photograph.
Powered equipment for supported movement
The blue moving platform supported the protected statue. The supplied photos show the load in upright, horizontal and inclined positions during different parts of the handling arrangement.
Courtyard and vehicle access
The project connected handling beside the house with access at the removalist truck. Ground surfaces, the building entrance and the ramp transfer were parts of the photographed route.

Why a garden statue needs more than a standard furniture move
A tall figure with projecting details
The statue’s headdress, hands, arms and decorative relief gave it an irregular outline. Those features had to be considered alongside the body and base when preparing the piece and allowing space for the moving equipment.
Supporting the body and base together
The horizontal photograph shows the wrapped statue supported along the platform, with securing straps around the load. Supporting the piece through a change in orientation was an important part of the handling shown.
Moving beside finished surfaces
The courtyard included paving and a glass entrance to the house. Protective floor coverings and a board were visible near the entrance, alongside the powered moving equipment and wrapped load.
The project handling method
Padded protection, mechanical tilting and supported truck access
Wrapping the garden statue with padded blankets
The statue’s body and base were covered with blue removal blankets and wrapping film. The protection was applied around the actual shape of the figure, including the wider base and the narrow body.
Securing the protected load to the moving platform
Orange straps restrained the wrapped statue to the equipment. These are visible around the upright load and across the supported horizontal arrangement.
Using mechanical support as the statue changed orientation
The powered equipment supported the piece in different handling positions. The photographs show the wrapped body resting along the platform, with the crew member working at the equipment controls.
Transferring the supported sculpture at the truck ramp
A metal ramp connected ground level with the rear of the removalist truck. The protected statue remained secured to the powered equipment while the platform occupied this inclined access route.

Specialist moving experience
A garden statue move built around protection and mechanical support
This project shows JB handling a large decorative garden figure with a combination of padded protection, load restraint and powered moving equipment. The photographs connect the courtyard handling stage with the ramp arrangement at the truck.
For customers planning a similar sculpture relocation, the item’s shape, base, dimensions and access route help determine the handling method. A statue’s appearance alone does not establish its weight or the equipment needed for another property.
Garden statue and sculpture moving questions
Can JB move a large garden statue?
This project shows JB handling a tall garden figure with specialist equipment and padded protection. Send photographs, dimensions and available weight information so the team can assess your statue.
Can a statue’s decorative base move with the figure?
Include the base in your photos and inventory. Show whether it forms part of the statue or is a separate component so the handling arrangement can be assessed.
What access details are needed for a sculpture quote?
Show the statue’s current position, entrance route, ground surfaces, truck access and proposed destination. Include any steps, stairs, narrow turns or landscaped areas along the route.
Will every statue use the same powered equipment?
The right equipment depends on the individual statue and site. JB assesses the item and complete route before confirming the moving method and crew.
