REAL JB PROJECT · SPECIALIST HANDLING
600 kg German dental machine: delivery and assembly
600 kg total · 200 kg base + 400 kg top · crane-assisted assembly · approx. 6 hours
The dental machine had an estimated six-month production lead time. JB planned its transport and assembly to limit vibration, using a large-tail-lift truck, a one-tonne furniture trolley and a counterweighted crane.

The complete handling method
High-consequence specialist equipment
The machine was manufactured in Germany for a specialist dental client. A replacement could take around six months to produce, so any serious damage could create a lengthy operational delay and potentially a six-figure financial consequence.
Site inspection and lift planning
JB inspected the site before moving day. Before the equipment arrived, the team checked the unloading position, route, component weights and protection needs. They also planned the trolley and crane positions, rigging points and final assembly sequence.
Low-vibration transport and handling
A specialist truck with a large tail lift supported controlled unloading. The machine sections were wrapped, cushioned and restrained, then moved slowly on a purpose-built furniture trolley rated to carry up to one tonne. Every transition was managed to limit vibration, sudden movement and impact.
Mechanical assembly instead of manual lifting
The machine arrived in two primary sections: a 400 kg upper section and a 200 kg base, weighing 600 kg in total. Rated slings and a counterweighted crane supported the upper section. The crew guided it into alignment and lowered it gently onto the base, avoiding uncontrolled manual lifting.
Dental machine installation outcome
From unloading and protective preparation through to positioning, crane-assisted assembly and final placement, the complete operation took approximately six hours. The machine was installed successfully under one planned and controlled methodology.
