The complete handling method

A piece with no replacement

The coffee table was custom-made from marble selected for its distinctive veining and had taken around a year to create. If the stone was damaged, there was no readily available replacement, so the movement method had to prioritise protection and control at every stage.

Inspecting the route before moving day

JB completed a site inspection before the delivery. The team assessed the table, its weight and the staircase. They checked the tight turns and the space the crew needed to work safely around the load.

Protecting the property and the marble

The floors and stairs were covered before movement began. The marble table was wrapped and enclosed inside a rigid custom-made protective casing, then positioned and restrained on the stair climber.

Mechanical control instead of a crowded staircase

The stairwell did not provide safe working positions for a conventional four-person carry. One trained operator controlled the stair climber while a second specialist supervised wall, handrail and turning clearances throughout the ascent.

Marble table stair delivery outcome

The one-off table reached its intended level through the restricted staircase under a planned and controlled movement system. The specialist equipment solved an access problem the original delivery team could not complete.
