THE RELOCATION

Specialist bath moving over Sydney stairs

A bath weighing 250 kg requires careful handling across the full moving route. On this project, stair access added another challenge to the substantial weight and rounded shape of the item.

JB specialises in bath relocations and heavy-item moving in Sydney. For this job, the team brought together a three-person crew, specialist stair-climbing equipment and protection around the bath before managing the stair section.

The work involved more than getting the bath from one point to another. The crew had to manage the changes in support, position and working space that came with transferring a large bath onto moving equipment and taking it over stairs.

WHY THIS NEEDED SPECIALIST HANDLING

Weight, protection and coordinated stair movement

A 250 kg bath

The bath’s substantial weight made its support and control central to the move, particularly when transitioning onto the specialist equipment.

Protecting the bath’s surfaces

The photographs show protective wrapping, blue padding and orange securing straps around the bath. These arrangements formed part of preparing it for handling.

A three-person crew

JB assigned three removalists for coordinated handling and support throughout the project. The crew and equipment worked together across the moving stages.

THE PROJECT APPROACH

Preparing and supporting the bath for the stair route

01

Preparing the heavy bath for movement

The photo set includes the covered bath at an outdoor handling area, with boards and moving equipment nearby. Preparation brought the item, its protection and the available working space together before onward movement.

02

Padding and securing the bath

Blue protective blocks and other covering material are visible around the upright bath. Orange straps secure it to the handling arrangement, with attention to the large body and exposed surfaces.

03

Using specialist stair-climbing equipment

The bath is pictured supported on a tracked stair-climbing unit beside a doorway. This specialist equipment was used as part of the relocation over stairs, with the crew coordinating the substantial load.

04

Managing the stairs with three removalists

The three-person team moved the 250 kg bath over the stair route. JB chose this crew arrangement to provide coordinated support and careful handling during the move.

05

Completing the bath relocation

JB completed the heavy bath move. The supplied photos document the protected item, specialist equipment and crew around the access area; photographs of the stair movement are not currently available.

THE COMPLETED PROJECT

A 250 kg bath moved over stairs by JB Removals

JB completed this Sydney bath relocation with three removalists and specialist stair-climbing equipment. The project combined heavy-item handling with stair access, supported by the protection and securing arrangements shown in the photographs.

It is a practical example of heavy lifting relocations in Sydney where the item’s shape, equipment setup and crew coordination all matter. A specialist bath move needs attention to each transition along the route.

Planning a heavy bath relocation

Can JB move a 250 kg bath over stairs?

This project involved a bath of that weight and stair access. A new relocation requires assessment of the actual bath, support requirements and complete route.

What details help with a bath moving quote?

Send the make/model if known, weight, dimensions and clear photos or video of collection and delivery access, including stairs, landings and doorways.

Why were three removalists used on this job?

JB assigned three people to provide coordinated support and careful handling with the specialist equipment. Crew requirements vary with each item and route.

Do the project photos show the staircase?

The available set shows the bath, protection, equipment and crew near the access area. Photos of the stair section are not currently included.
