When a move needs more than two addresses
Some moves combine belongings from separate households. Others include a storage collection, a furniture purchase or a delivery to a relative before the main load reaches the new home. An office move might have equipment going to a new workplace while selected furniture goes to another premises.
These arrangements can be discussed as one moving plan. The practical question is how the items, access and time windows fit together. A nearby collection can still require stairs, dismantling or a long walk between the property and the truck.
Tell us whether a stop is essential, optional or still being arranged. A possible furniture purchase should be recorded as provisional until the seller confirms the item, collection address and availability.
Make an inventory for every pickup and delivery
Write down what is collected at each address and where it must go. Include cartons, furniture, appliances and items outside the main rooms, such as garage contents or outdoor furniture. A single total volume does not explain which items need to be accessible at the first delivery.
For items going to different destinations, label each piece or carton with its delivery address and room. Keep a matching list yourself. Labels such as 'bedroom' need an address as well when the move includes two homes.

Record the contact and access at each stop
Give us the full address, the person meeting the crew, a contact number and any restricted arrival time. Include the floor, lift arrangements, stairs, loading position and distance from the truck to the items.
For a storage facility, check its opening hours, entry process and loading arrangements. For a private furniture collection, confirm the seller will be present and that the item is ready to leave. Ask for useful photos and dimensions before adding an unfamiliar piece to the move.
Agree the route around access windows
The shortest driving route may not match the available loading times. A booked apartment lift, seller collection window or office loading dock can determine which address comes first.
Share those constraints before the sequence is agreed. Travel time, loading time and unloading time all need to fit between appointments. Closely spaced lift reservations at separate buildings can leave too little room for the work between them.
In Sydney, the approach to each address also matters. Describe vehicle clearance, legal loading options, driveway gradients and any streets or building entrances that restrict the proposed truck. Let the team assess the route rather than assuming the same vehicle can enter every location.
Check capacity through the whole route
The load changes at each stop. A truck may collect from two addresses before making its first delivery, so it needs room for both collections at that point. If it delivers first and collects again later, the available space changes differently.

Plan loading around the delivery sequence
Items for an early delivery need to be accessible without unnecessarily unloading the rest of the truck. Clearly labelled destination groups help the crew plan this while keeping the load protected and secured.
For example, imagine a household collecting belongings from a unit and a family home, then delivering some furniture to a relative and the remaining load to a new house. The brief should show all four addresses, which items belong to the relative, and any fixed access times. Ask for a quote that includes every stop
A useful quote describes the full route and the work at each location. Compare proposals using the same address list, inventory and access details, so a lower advertised rate does not conceal a different scope.
Confirm the proposed crew and vehicle, pricing basis, minimum booking, travel treatment, GST and any applicable tolls, parking or waiting charges. Ask how dismantling, packing materials and additional handling are treated. Any fixed price should state the assumptions it relies on.
Declare pianos, safes, stone furniture and unusually heavy or fragile pieces at the quoting stage. These may need an individual heavy item assessment even when the rest of the load is ordinary household furniture.
Update the plan before adding a stop
An extra address can change the travel, loading sequence, required capacity and arrival times. Contact the office as soon as the request changes and confirm the revised scope. An additional stop is subject to assessment and availability; adding it to a message does not confirm the work.

Can removalists collect from two properties and deliver to one?
